Week of Prayer
Sunday, January 25 - Sunday, February 1
What is the week of prayer?
The Week of Prayer is a dedicated time 4 times a year (quarterly) when our entire congregation sets aside a week to come together and pray. These four weeks out of 52 are all about seeking God together - for our church, our people, and our community.
Why do we do it?
Prayer is how we access the power and presence of God in our church. He is the head, and we are the body so we look to Him for guidance, strength, and unity. While not everyone may feel called to pray out loud or in groups, our prayer warriors lead the way. These are people who love to pray and are gifted in encouraging others through prayer. Like yeast in dough, they help the rest of the church rise spiritually. Whether you feel confident in prayer or are just learning, this is a space for everyone to grow.
What are the 3 priorities for Week of Prayer?
1. Mobilize the prayer warriors to intercede for our church.
2. Gather and teach newbies how to pray as a congregation.
3. Congregation receives prayer. Pray over and release the power of God into the congregation’s lives. Pray for a supernatural movement.
