The Pastor led Sunday morning prayer time is a crucial part of Embark. We specifically gather to:
Because we have limited time, this time is directed and purposeful. It requires intentional involvement, promptness in attending and a properly prepared spiritual heart.
- Dedicate the entire campus and the Sunday morning time to God
- Intercede on behalf of the people who will show
Because we have limited time, this time is directed and purposeful. It requires intentional involvement, promptness in attending and a properly prepared spiritual heart.
How We Do It:
- Saturday night personal prep. The condition of your heart matters in asking God to fill His church. Personal spiritual preparation is a must. Before bed, take some time and pray through PS 51 or another Scripture of your choice.
- 8:30am Sun. Gather, have coffee, fellowship with the rest of the team and/or spiritual prepare yourself.
- 8:45am Sun. Prayer PROMPTLY begins as a group. DO NOT COME LATE. If you struggle with being late, get there at 8:30. If you are rushing in or coming in after we begin, you are rushing, not spiritually prepared and showing a lack of commitment to this. Our order of prayer will be:
- Pray for a clean heart. This cannot and does not replace our personal Sat night prep. We will use a small section of PS 51 as our guide.
- Pray for God's presence. We will dedicate the time and space for His use asking Him to make His presence overwhelmingly known to all.
- Intercession. Using Jer 31:33-34 we will intercede on behalf of the people, asking Him to do what He promised to do to Israel.
- 9:05am Sun. We break from group prayer and individually walk every part of the campus, asking for God to make His presence known and for the people who will attend. What you say is not as important as the heart that shows up and participates with a real desire for God to move.
During Worship
We are the yeast in the bread that makes it rise. The majority of people do not come spiritually prepared but instead casually enter the sanctuary. We are different - we understand the seriousness, intentionality and purpose of worship. We focus on giving praise to God, not looking to see if He is moving in others as a result of our prayer.
After Worship
Take a moment, reflect on the morning and praise God for whatever and wherever you saw Him move. If you did not experience Him someplace, look at your heart and ask why.
