Safety Team Checklist
as of July 3, 2025
Goal: Be present, aware, and prevent any potential incidents. Here’s how:
Before 1st Service
- Talk to Rachel Carter to see if there are any specific concerns
- Get the safety keys out of the closet in administrative office
- Make sure all exterior doors are locked except two main lobby double-doors
- Walk through each room of the church, ensuring no one is in a room where they shouldn’t be
- ID where officer from sheriff’s department is parked in case of emergency
- Look out for any safety concerns or tripping hazards, such as:
- Rocks, gravel, or debris on sidewalks
- Extensions cords or cables across walkways
- Loose mats or rugs that could be tripped over
- Items stored on the floor or in walkways (boxes or supplies)
- Spills or water on floor without a wet floor sign
During Service
- Walk around church property, don’t stay in one place too long (interior and exterior)
- Make sure people don’t congregate in the lobby or patio and get loud
- Report any concerns to sheriff’s deputy
After 2nd Service
- Talk to any of the Embark staff about any safety concerns
- Put keys back in closet in administrative office
