Learn how a children's ministry department operates by being a working part of the team, engage children through teaching on Sunday morning, and suggest ideas of where we can improve.
Specific areas of learning and duties will include: 1. Administration: Learning and executing the administration associated with operating a children’s ministry. This includes:
- Scheduling volunteers
- Preparing lessons & activities
- Preparing to receive students on Sunday mornings
- Using technology to accomplish necessary tasks
2. Sunday Morning: Rotating through and learning how to operate the various children’s ministry areas on Sunday morning. They are:
- Preparation to receive children and volunteers
- Operation of children’s check-in and dismissal
- Operation of four classrooms ranging from ages 0-10, to include teaching.
- Actions after kids and volunteers have left
3. Communication: Learning how to prepare and communicate with:
- Parents
- Children Ministry volunteers / team members
- Kids
4. Outside Sunday morning: Learn through assisting in the planning, organizing and implementing of any events / activities.
5. Other: There may be other assigned duties depending on the student's interest and competence level.
