Children's Ministry

Paid Childcare Workers

Embark is looking to add childcare workers to our children's ministry team. The hours are 9:00-11:30 AM on Sunday mornings.

Primary job duties:
  • Have a heart and passion for children
  • Friendly
  • Team player - works well with others
  • Great communication skills - must be able to communicate with parents and children
  • Be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Set up classrooms and materials as needed for lessons
  • Clean and disinfect classrooms after use
  • Monitor hallway/ children's restroom as needed
  • Handle check-in on Sunday mornings via ipads as needed

Children's Ministry Internship

Internship Goals:
  • Learn how a children's ministry department operates by being a working part of the team
  • Engage children through teaching on Sunday morning
  • Suggest ideas of where we can improve

Specific areas of learning and duties will include:  
1. Administration: Learning and executing the administration associated with operating a children’s ministry. This includes:
  • Scheduling volunteers
  • Preparing lessons & activities
  • Preparing to receive students on Sunday mornings
  • Using technology to accomplish necessary tasks

2. Sunday Morning: Rotating through and learning how to operate the various children’s ministry areas on Sunday morning. They are:  
  • Preparation to receive children and volunteers
  • Operation of children’s check-in and dismissal
  • Operation of four classrooms ranging from ages 0-10, to include teaching.  
  • Actions after kids and volunteers have left

3. Communication:  Learning how to prepare and communicate with:
  • Parents
  • Children Ministry volunteers / team members
  • Kids

4. Outside Sunday morning:  Learn through assisting in the planning, organizing and implementing of any events / activities.

5. Other:  There may be other assigned duties depending on the student's interest and competence level.  

There are possible paid opportunities for students upon successful completion of the internship.

Media & Marketing Internship

Department Objective:  Inform and engage both the congregation and community through the use of various media.  
  • Informing - reporting what has happened in congregation for the purpose of communicating life, energy, and excitement. Examples include creating and distributing media of baptisms, fellowship gatherings, small group teachings, etc.  
  • Engaging - creating content that engages and fosters integration with the congregation and community for the purpose of drawing them into what we want them to do. Examples include creating and distributing media that builds up to and draws people to groups launches, fellowship gatherings, 2 weeks of prayer, etc.  
  • Media - Media includes creating content as well as managing the distribution platforms. They are:
    • Graphics
    • Photos
    • Videos
    • Social media
    • Website
    • App

Internship goals:
  • Learn how a church effectively uses media to market and support ministry
  • Suggest ideas of where we can improve
Specific duties include learning about and creating content / managing:
1. Creating / managing content for the online service. This includes:
  • Welcome videos
  • Plan your visit
  • AOS / Baptism response
  • B-roll footage
  • Worship videos
  • Announcement slides/videos

2. Recording and editing photos / videos as needed for distribution on social media platforms. Some examples are: Baptism videos, testimonies, teaching content, etc

3. Managing and improving the effectiveness of distribution platforms.  This includes social media, website, app, search engine optimization (SEO), etc

4. Finding better ways to creatively engage both Embark people and people outside of Embark.

There are possible paid opportunities for students upon successful completion of the internship.

Student Ministry Coordinator

Embark Church is looking for either a male or female to lead our existing student ministry of around 20-25 middle and high school students.

Job duties include:
  • Connect with and teach our middle and high school students
  • Work with an existing team of student ministry volunteers
  • Work with the pastor in planning, coordinating, and administering fellowship events, service/outreach events, and curriculum
  • Facilitate student involvement during Sunday morning worship

Time Requirements:
Our student ministry leader will only work on-site on Sundays. They will:
  • Gather and fellowship with our students / congregation before and after our Sunday morning worship service
  • Plan and coordinate (as needed) on Sunday afternoon
  • Lead the student ministry from 5:30-7:30pm

College Ministry Coordinator

Embark Church is looking for either a male or female to build and develop a college outreach ministry and spiritual development ministry.

Job duties include:
  • Gather other college students
  • Facilitate college students' spiritual development
  • Work with the pastor in planning, coordinating, and administering fellowship events, service/outreach events, and curriculum

Worship Team

Musicians/Vocalists

Embark is building a worship team and actively recruiting people who have a desired level of musical competence. We are specifically looking for, but not limited to, the following positions:

  • Vocals
  • Guitar
  • Drums
  • Keyboard
  • Sound

AV/Production

Embark is adding people to the following existing AV/production teams. There are two different positions.

  • Lyrics - Displays the lyrics and other media on the screens during Sunday AM worship.
  • Lights/Online Service - Manages the house and stage lighting transitions, as well as starts and ends the livestream.
