Connections Team Checklist

Sunday AM

  1. Arrive at Embark by 9:30 am
  2. Walk through the sanctuary to make sure connections cards are in each seat back
  3. Kiosk set up: table and sign on either side of shelve, connect cards and ipad on table
  4. Restock and organize kiosk shelve: T-shirts, pens, stickers, visitor gift bags
  5. One team member stationed at kiosk at end of service to receive connect cards, engage with visitors, and distribute t-shirts etc.
  6. Write the date at the top of each connections card received. First time visitors will receive a “Thank you for visiting” text on the Monday following their visit
  7. Communicate with guest connections and congregational care team leaders regarding interactions with new and returning guests
  8. Review and update connections board as needed

Pre-Connections Lunch

  1. Card received indicating desire to attend CL 1.0
  2. Text reminder and confirm attendance and childcare needs for lunch
  3. Connect with administrator (Rachel Carter) to order food
  4. Connect with childcare worker (Avery Worley/ Donna Bennet) to be available if needed

Connections Lunch 1.0 and 2.0

  1. Serve teams room: place connections lunch signage outside of doorway, tidy room as needed, rearrange furniture as needed
  2. Create a central eating space that encourages participants to sit together and mingle
  3. Place 1 rectangular table against the wall to serve lunch buffet style
    ● Use tablecloth and simple décor
    ● Provide all necessary items for lunch: plates, napkins, utensils, and beverages
  4. Place 1.0 or 2.0 cards in card holder on the central table. These cards are to be handed out during the discussion time
  5. Ask to take a photo of each attendee in order to begin tracking via the Connections Board
  6. Clear off and clean tables/ take down signage/take out all trash

Communication Post 1.0

  1. Text mid-week reminder (Wednesday) to take the spiritual gifts quiz in preparation for CL 2.0 if needed
  2. Reminder text to be sent on Friday to confirm attendance and childcare needs for 2.0
  3. Connect with administrator to place food order
  4. Connect with childcare worker as needed

Connections Board

  1. Obtain photo of Connections lunch attendees at 1.0
  2. Upload photo to Canva, print, laminate, and cut photos
  3. Adhere laminated photo with tape under the month CL was attended
  4. Record date, CL 1.0 & 2.0 attendance, group selection, and serve team participation with sharpie on laminated card
  5. Scheduled texts to be sent at 3/6/9/12 months. Coordinate these communications with the serve team leader
