Turkey Hill Community

In this community, we focus on three things:

1. Safety

Traffic: Work with the Department of Transportation (DOT) to:
- Get the streetlights working so residents can see throughout the community.
- Replace neglected and missing street signs.
- Repave aged and worn-out streets.
Transportation:
- Install bus stops at Columbia Road and St. Matthews Road entrances.

2. Crime Prevention

Establish police presence.

Establish reporting procedures.

Develop a neighborhood watch call roster (posted online).

3. Community Pride

Organize a litter control day.

Work with county trash services.

Organize a block party.

Install new neighborhood signage.

Who are we:

Turkey Hill is a community neighborhood in Orangeburg extending from Columbia Road to St. Matthews Road. Over 200 families reside in the area. Our mission is to "Know Your Neighbor." This is done through making connections, protecting each other's interests, and establishing long-lasting relationships.
