A devotional life and Biblical foundation are essential for becoming the spiritual leader God calls us to be – in our home, in our church and in the world. We’ll study God’s Word along with practical life application and see where God takes us. This will be an intensive Bible study that will last longer than the normal 6-7 weeks, and is limited to 10 people.

Hear his voice. Have his ear. Belong to his body.

Three seemingly unremarkable principles shape and strengthen the Christian life: listening to God’s voice, speaking to him in prayer, and joining together with his people as the church. Though often viewed as normal and routine, the everyday “habits of grace” we cultivate give us access to these God-designed channels through which his love and power flow—including the greatest joy of all: knowing and enjoying Jesus.

Beginning Sunday, June 24 @ 6 PM | 955 Riverside Drive | Childcare Available

We see in the Book of James a challenge to faithful followers of Jesus Christ to not just “talk the talk,” but to “walk the walk.” While our faith walk, to be certain, requires a growth of knowledge about the Word, James exhorts us to not stop there. He focuses on the truths of Jesus’ words in the Sermon on the Mount and motivates us to act upon what He taught.

Do you REALLY want to experience God? Gathering and praying with others is where His presence is most felt and supernatural stuff happens. With that said, this group is open to everyone independent of prayer experience. Just know this:

  1. You will never be asked to pray out loud or share your feelings.
  2. You WILL be praying with others who have more prayer experience. Because prayer is more caught than taught, this is how you learn to pray.
  3. You will never be judged or condemned because of your prayer experience level by ANYONE.
  4. Fear and pride are the two most common vices that keep people from joining prayer and thus, experiencing God with others.

What if you discovered you have been entrusted with an invisible, invincible and incorruptible weapon? Would you use it? Creatively forging the imagery of swords, the Word of God, and the Cross… “Girls with Swords” will teach how to speak the language of heaven on earth, what it means to intercede, what it means to carry your cross, what it means to be discerning, how to disarm the enemy, and why women are the enemy’s target and why God needs them to be heroes.

Embark’s mission is to help people spiritually grow

grow Embark Church Orangeburg, SC

Spiritual growth does not happen in isolation.  It occurs by being exposed to in-depth teaching, seeing its life application, encountering Jesus in trusted relationships and engaging in meaningful discussion.  These actions take place in grow groups.

What is a grow group?

Grow Groups are small groups of usually 6-12 people hat meet on a sustained basis to encounter Jesus, encourage one another and educate themselves about the things of faith.  They are so important that they are the central element at Embark Church for spiritual growth.  Everything revolves around them.

Where and what do they look like?

Grow Groups operate operate on a semester system (spring, summer, fall).   They usually meet in homes, where an informal meal is available and then teaching.  The meal is important because connecting and fellowshipping with one others is essential in fostering a learning environment.  Food is the best way to do this.  Also, childcare is always provided.

How do I get involved?

Before each semester, there is an opportunity to explore what is offered and ask questions.  The course offering and explanation is offered and there are opportunities to sign up on this webpage, at church or during our small groups launch parties.
