Faith mostly comes down to how we view life through the lens of God’s Word. Faith is perspective. Faith isn’t a 100-yard dash or a quick sprint around the track. No, the race of faith is a marathon. It requires a steady, daily dependence on the character and teachings of God.
Beginning Sunday, Nov. 5 at 6:00 PM.
Do you REALLY want to experience God? Gathering and praying with others is where His presence is most felt and supernatural stuff happens. With that said, this group is open to everyone independent of prayer experience. Just know this: 1. You will never be asked to pray out loud or share your feelings. 2. You WILL be praying with others who have more prayer experience. Because prayer is more caught than taught, this is how you learn to pray. 3. You will never be judged or condemned because of your prayer experience level by ANYONE. 4. Fear and pride are the two most common vices that keep people from joining prayer and thus, experiencing God with others.
Every man was once a boy. And every little boy has dreams, big dreams, dreams of being the hero, of beating the bad guys, of doing daring feats and rescuing the damsel in distress. But what happens to those dreams when we grow up? Walk into most churches, have a look around, and ask yourself: What is a Christian man? Without listening to what is said, look at what you find there. Most Christian men are . . . bored. Together, you will discover how God can heal your hearts and learn how to become the man God wants you to be.
Beginning Sunday, Oct. 29 at 6:00 PM.
So many of us plead for God to speak to us. Because we don’t hear his voice, we assume he’s being silent. Could it be He’s already talking, and we haven’t discovered how He is uniquely speaking to us? The Lord’s heart is to communicate with His children, and He wants us to partner with how He’s wired us.
Beginning Sunday, Oct. 29 at 6:00 PM.
Some Christians believe strongly in the existence of demons and spiritual warfare. Others downplay or even ignore the idea. With such divergent views, how are Christians supposed to know the truth about demonic forces at work in this world? The Invisible War
examines what every believer needs to know about Satan, demons, and spiritual warfare, offering a balanced look at this controversial subject.
Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 6:00 AM.
Our student ministry consists of a vibrant group of junior and senior high kids. They meet every Sunday night
and have dinner, fellowship / activity time and then a lesson designed to foster their spiritual growth. During the teaching time, the kids are divided between junior and senior high. The students also periodically have fun, fellowship events as well as community service projects.
Embark’s mission is to help people spiritually grow
Spiritual growth does not happen in isolation. It occurs by being exposed to in-depth teaching, seeing its life application, encountering Jesus in trusted relationships and engaging in meaningful discussion. These actions take place in grow groups.
What is a grow group?
Grow Groups are small groups of usually 6-12 people hat meet on a sustained basis to encounter Jesus, encourage one another and educate themselves about the things of faith. They are so important that they are the central element at Embark Church for spiritual growth. Everything revolves around them.
Where and what do they look like?
Grow Groups operate operate on a semester system (spring, summer, fall). They usually meet in homes, where an informal meal is available and then teaching. The meal is important because connecting and fellowshipping with one others is essential in fostering a learning environment. Food is the best way to do this. Also, childcare is always provided.
How do I get involved?
Before each semester, there is an opportunity to explore what is offered and ask questions. The course offering and explanation is offered and there are opportunities to sign up on this webpage, at church or during our small groups launch parties.
