Grow Spiritually

Grow groups help you grow deeper in your faith through specific teachings while connecting with others who want to also spiritually grow.  The emphasis is on growth. These classes last for eight to twelve weeks each semester. Check out our current grow groups and click on the button to sign up!

Spiritual Disciplines

Jordan Home – 212 Doc Elliot Retreat

Spiritual Disciplines are practices that help us order our lives around Jesus, not just squeeze Him into our existing daily routines.  This class will help you create a plan that integrates practicing the Sabbath, silence and solitude, prayer, study, work, and fasting.  It is an advanced class that will have homework and expected discussion.

Pre-requisite: Completing the Spiritual Life grow group.

Spiritual Gifts
Led by Randy & Sharon Benzon

Change your thinking from “What can I do for God?” to “What can God do through me?” through sound Biblical teaching on the Spirit’s role in your life.  This study will clarify the confusion between natural talents and spiritual gifts and help you get in step with God’s purpose for your life.

Invisible War

This book will help you understand what the Bible says about these threats and will show you how you can safeguard yourself and your family through prayer.

Women’s AM: God is Able

Soul Sisters

Growth Track


In addition to our grow groups, we have growth track classes that you can participate in along with your grow group. Each class is between 3-6 weeks and tell you more about who we are, how you can get involved, and become a leader at Embark.

Next Steps takes place the 1st-3rd Sundays of every month after church beginning at 12:15 PM. Lunch is provided.

Our Ministry Partner process is designed to help you connect with others, spiritually grow, become involved and ultimately discern if you want to “partner” with us. How do you become a ministry partner?

  1. Be a baptized believer in Jesus Christ.
  2. Complete Next Steps.
  3. Serve on a team.
  4. Complete this four part class.

Ministry partners classes are offered every other month.

Leader Track is a course that is designed to build leaders at Embark Church by teaching how to carry Embark’s culture and represent our values. The requirements of this class are:

Spiritual growth does not happen in isolation.  It occurs by being exposed to in-depth teaching, seeing its life application, encountering Jesus in trusted relationships and engaging in meaningful discussion.  These actions take place in grow groups.

What is a grow group?

Grow Groups are small groups of usually 6-12 people hat meet on a sustained basis to encounter Jesus, encourage one another and educate themselves about the things of faith.  They are so important that they are the central element at Embark Church for spiritual growth.  Everything revolves around them.

Where and what do they look like?

Grow Groups operate operate on a semester system (spring, summer, fall).   They usually meet in homes, where an informal meal is available and then teaching.  The meal is important because connecting and fellowshipping with one others is essential in fostering a learning environment.  Food is the best way to do this.  Also, childcare is always provided.  

How do I get involved?

Before each semester, there is an opportunity to explore what is offered and ask questions.  The course offering and explanation is offered and there are opportunities to sign up on this webpage, at church or during our small groups launch parties.
