Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry, led by Mrs. Rachel Carter, offers age-appropriate Bible stories and activities for infants – 5th grade. Our curriculum is a chronological study of Scripture that allows kids to see how Christ fits into the whole Bible. We are committed to seeing children spiritually grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. To best do this, we believe this must be in a clean, safe and fun environment. We have a teaching team consisting of adults and youth volunteers who count it a privilege to invest in children’s lives.

Children's Ministry at Embark Church

We break the children into age-appropriate groups, specifically:

Babies (0-2) – We have a nursery for babies, and a play area for toddlers. Our Toddlers lesson consists of a short Bible story and an activity that allows the children to interact with the lesson through crafts, music, and games.

Preschool (3-5) – We have a preschool worship program with a Bible story video and lesson, music, and hands-on activities.

Kids (6-10) – We have a fun, high-energy PowerPoint lesson consisting of a Bible story with life application, memory verse, music, games, and small group activities.

Learn more About Our Children's MinistryOur Children’s Ministry is important to us because we want our children to know Jesus and understand how to have a relationship with Him. In Mark 10:14, Jesus said, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God” (ESV). By teaching a lesson specifically each different age level, our children are able to experience Jesus in real, relevant ways.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY CHECK-IN AND SECURITY

We take child safety seriously in our Children’s Ministry.  Beginning at 9:45am, you can check your child in at our Children’s Check-in kiosk.  One of our greeters will gladly walk you to it and there are plenty of signs to direct you.  At check-in, your child’s name, your cell phone and any important information is recorded.  Both you and your child will then be given a sticker.  For checkout, only the person with the correct sticker will be able to claim their child.  If, at any time during our worship, there is a situation, we will text you.  We also have an extra level of security and a “plain clothed” security person roams throughout the YMCA.
